Lawlab may collect the following types of personal information:

Lawlab may collect personal information when you:

- (b) communicate with lawlab in any form;
- (c) interact with lawlab’s services, content, and advertising;
- (d) invest in lawlab or enquire as to a potential purchase from lawlab; and
- (e) apply for a job or position with lawlab.
3. Why does lawlab collect, use and disclose personal information?
Lawlab may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
- (a) to communicate with you as a client of lawlab;
- (b) to enable you to access and use WillSecure;
- (c) to operate, protect, improve, and optimise WillSecure;
- (d) to send you service, support, and administrative communications;
- (e) to send you marketing and other information including from our business partners;
- (f) to administer rewards, surveys, contests, promotional activities, or events;
- (g) to comply with lawlab’s legal obligations and resolve any disputes; and
- (h) to consider your employment application.
4. Does lawlab use your personal information for direct marketing?
Lawlab may send you marketing communications and information about WillSecure, lawlab, and select third parties. These communications will be in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth). You may opt-out marketing communications by contacting lawlab or by using the opt-out facility provided in each communication (e.g. unsubscribe link).
5. To whom does lawlab disclose your personal information?
Lawlab may disclose personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy to:
- (a) lawlab employees and related bodies corporate;
- (b) trusted third parties including for the operation of WillSecure or lawlab’s business(es);
- (c) professional advisers, dealers, and agents;
- (d) payment systems operators (e.g. merchants receiving card payments);
- (e) lawlab’s existing or potential agents, business partners, or partners;
- (f) lawlab’s sponsors or promoters of any competition conducted via WillSecure;

6. Disclosure of personal information outside Australia
Unless prohibited by law, lawlab may disclose personal information outside of Australia to third party suppliers, cloud storage providers, and other service providers. When you provide your personal information to lawlab, you consent to the disclosure of your personal information outside of Australia and acknowledge that lawlab is not required to ensure that overseas recipients handle that personal information in compliance with Australian Privacy Law. Lawlab will, however, take reasonable steps to ensure that such recipients act consistent with such principles.
7. Using WillSecure and cookies
Lawlab may collect personal information about you when you use and access WillSecure. Lawlab may record information about your use of WillSecure, such as which pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the internet protocol address assigned to your computer. Lawlab may also use 'cookies' or other similar tracking technologies on WillSecure. You can disable cookies through your internet browser, but WillSecure may not work as intended. Lawlab will handle any personal information collected by cookies as described in this Privacy Policy.

Lawlab may hold your personal information in any form. It will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. However, lawlab cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

WillSecure may contain links to websites and other services operated by third parties. Lawlab is not responsible for the privacy practices of, or any content on, those third party websites or services. Please read the policies of those third parties before using their websites or services.

You can access the personal information lawlab holds about you by contacting lawlab. Your identity may need to be verified before lawlab releases any personal information. If you think that any personal information held by lawlab is inaccurate, please contact lawlab to correct it.

If you wish to make a complaint, please contact lawlab at support@lawlab.com.au. Please include your name, email address, and telephone number. If you think that lawlab has failed to resolve the complaint, lawlab will provide you with information about the further steps you can take.
12. Exemption
This Privacy Policy does not apply to acts and practices in relation to employee records of lawlab’s current and former employees, which are exempt from the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth).
13. Conflict
The Terms of this Privacy Policy do not override the WillSecure Terms and Conditions.
